So I got a temporary job for a teacher who is going on maternity leave for six weeks. The job was supposed to start on February 8. I thought I had plenty of time to read the 3 books I will be teaching and everything would be grand (the books are Wuthering Heights, 1984, and Atonement).
I got a call this morning. The teacher went into labor last night. They asked if I could come in tomorrow. I can't, as I am going to Miami and will be there until Tuesday.
Now I start work on Wednesday, the 27. I don't think I am ready to go back to work. And who knows what I am going to be teaching!
I guess I will be doing a lot of reading this weekend...
