I just started an Ernest Hemingway unit in my English classes. We talk about his life, his stories, his death...we also talk about the heroes he created for his stories.
I had my students bring in pictures of their heroes and we cut out more pictures and words from magazines and made a collage, which will be our banner for the unit. I wanted to share one of the collages with you because I think they did a fantastic job:
