I have determined that weekends are far too short. By the time Saturday night rolls around, I am already depressed about work on Monday. Urgh! This weekend Mandy planned for a group of us to go to Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's house. We set out about 9:45 am for a 2.5 hour drive south of DC. The drive was beautiful, a little rainy, but we arrived to our destination safely. We bought our tickets, had lunch at Taco Bell, and then enjoyed the tour of the House. It rained on and off the entire afternoon, but that did not stop us from having some fun. Enjoy:
Beautiful house!

And me, with the misty mountain in the background.
UPDATE: I just found out that I passed the VCLA, which is a test to prove literacy that all Virginia educators have to take. I have one test left, the Praxis: English, and then I am done!!
